SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 151267. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol, mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale while under German occupation during World War II. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/ HERSTAL BELGIQUE" above "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE", followed by an Eagle/WaA140 proof and an eagle firing proof, which are also present on the left side of the frame. Metal components exhibit a professionally reapplied blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which remains polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: one 13-rd. mag., with an Eagle/WaA140 proof on spine. CONDITION: metal components retain bountiful amounts of their professionally reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light superficial handling marks and a few scattered spots of light surface oxidation, with a few scattered spots of minute pitting present beneath the finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting hardened spots of grease while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as well as some scattered marks from handling and storage, with the right panel exhibiting light chipping along the front-facing edge.
