TELESCOPIC SIGHT. Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 245b. Bbl. 25 3/4" including unmarked flash suppressor. All visible numbers match. Receiver marked on left side "G43", S#, "ac" & "44". Right side of receiver has "eagle 359". Receiver & bolt carrier have coarse wartime forged finish. Stamped action cover. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1,200m. Blade front sight w/ protective hood. Unmarked late type gas cyl. with two gas escape holes w/ S#. Cleaning rod is present. Rifle fitted w/ threaded flash suppressor. Unit measures approx. 1" in diameter, 2 1/2" long & is threaded & notched correctly. It is however unmarked & appears to be added accessory. Laminated stock set. Buttstock marked on left side w/ 2 "eagle 359" acceptance marks. Belly of stock marked w/ S# & faint eagle acceptance mark. Cup type trap buttplate. Correct type oiler in butt. Correct period leather sling. MAGS: 1-20 rd. MG13 marked on left side w/ "eagle 4" "BS?" & "1938". Mag. has been modified to fit the G43 rifle. Rifle still accepts the correct original 10 rd. mags. Rifle fitted w/ correct ZF4 telescopic sight in original mt. Scope marked on left side "GW ZF 4", "dow", triangle & S# 30149. These scopes were made by a subsidiary of the Czech manufacturer ZB. The scope mt. appears to be correct & is marked on the right side below the locking lever pivot w/ "eagle 359" & number on right forward end appears "g680". Scope includes rain shield. Rubber eye cup. Amber lens filter installed at ocular end. Eye cup is glued in place. Pointed vertical post reticle w/ horizontal bars. Scope is adj. for windage & elevation. Windage adj. has sheet metal cap. Scope includes correct scope cover w/ wood plug. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original muzzle thread protector in butt trap. CONDITION: stock set has nice original finish w/ light wear & scattered handling marks throughout. Handguard has professionally repaired full length crack at top. Repair is only visible when handguard is removed. Metal has 75% wartime finish w/ light wear & handling marks. Scope retains most of its lightly worn original finish w/ sm. spots of oxidation. Notable, visible glue around forward edge of eye cup. Optics appear cloudy likely due to amber filter. Adjustments move freely. Dovetailed fits freely & locks tight. Very good shiny bore.
