Actions retain traces of original casehardening color where protected but are mostly silver to gray. Engraving remains sharp and clear. Top levers and trigger guards retain perhaps as much as 25% of their original blue. Stocks retain some of their original finish but show considerable wear and use with a myriad of marks, scratches, and bumps. Checkering shows considerable wear and is quite dirty. Forend checkering is almost smooth in some areas. Original pads are petrified, and both have chips on toes. Bores are bright and shiny without any noted problems. Actions are tight. Bbls. are on face. Ejectors are in time. Triggers seem to work well. Case leather shows a bit of darkening but is very fine with some light marks and scratches as protected by outer cover which is good, soiled and with rubs. Straps are good. Original case handle is also good. Interior cloth is good to very good with some soiling and rubs in partitions. Label is very fine. Accessories are good. An interesting pair of light game guns that might profit from judicious wood refinishing. (22-2307 & 22-2308/MGM). BOTH CURIO. $18,000-24,000.
