Manufactured circa 1920's in Germany. Barrel rib is marked "G.WAHRENBERG BRADENBURG". No visible import marks. Matching serials on the barrel and frame. Forearm is not numbered. Bottom left of the barrel is marked "KRUPP". Standard commercial proofs on the bottom of both the barrel and action. Barrels are 26-3/4". Rifle appears 9 x 72 R caliber (should be chamber cast to verify). Solid rib with blade front sight and flip up rear sight, activated by the lever on the frame. underlever, back action, exposed hammer design with a rounded bottom receiver. Case colored frame has fine game scene engraving with a punch dot background. Left side shows a deer with an elk on the right. Both sideplates are engraved with a hare on the right and a duck on the left. Double set triggers. Oiled wood stock and forearm with fine cut checkering on the wrist and forearm. Round knob pistol grip. Small metal sling swivels with a European style small cheekpiece on the right side. Metal bullet trapdoor in the butt. Checkered horn butt plate. Bores look to be choked at full and improved modified. LOP: 13-3/4". CALIBER: 16 Gauge & 9x72. S/N: 10203. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Metal is very good overall. Frame has lost the bulk of its case coloring. Barrels are turning a brown patina. Wood has light scrapes and scratches. Bores have a few minor pits. Rifle bore is frosted. Rifling is very good overall. Action is tight, as are the hammers.
