German 44 Dot Waffen SS Type II M 42 three quarter length Tunic with shoulder patch on left sleeve in overall fine condition. Accompanied by a Letter of Originality from our consignor stating this piece to be a war time souvenir purchasedfrom Mr. Charles R. Miller of South Philadelphia. In summary, the letter further indicates our consignor obtained this Tunic from Veteran Miller in January of 2002. Miller told our consignor that he was attached to the 7th Armored Division which was heavily engaged in the Ardennes Offensive in December ’44 to March ’45 of the Battle of the Bulge against the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division Gotz von Berlichingten. Also included is a summary sheet of information on the 17th SSPanzergrenadier Division including reference to its link to the 1st Panzer Division and its notoriety for involvement in the Malmedy Massacre. A very rare German WW II Tunic in fine condition. Est.: $2,800-$5,600.
