This is an excellent example of a pre-war European sporterized Mauser, featuring exquisite floral, scroll engraving on the trigger guard, receiver, floorplate. The floorplate also has a engraved image of a elk, and the triggerguard has a antelope. Double set triggers, 24" barrel, blue finish, bright bolt. Hardwood stock with checkered panels on the wrist, & forearm, grip cap, Pachmayr rubber recoil pad, cheek piece. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, and bolt handle. Although not marked with his name, the custom work on this rifle, including the triggers, and engraving is in the same style of Heinrich Barella Company of Suhl, Germany. Mounted with a vintage Kollmorgen/Stith Bear Cub 2.5x Rifle Scope, Stith bases, clear optics. Bore is very good/bright, Overall very good condition with some minor scratches. Slim leather with canvass backing attached. We're not sure who built this rifle, but it was done by an expert.
NRA Condition-very Good. C&R Firearm.
