This lot of 8 fuzes is inert/safe and from the Jim Geibel collection. 1) Soviet Russian UDZ fuze. This is the fuze used on both the RGO and RGN hand grenades. The plastic has broken on the body and is glued back together. Not an uncommon thing for this fuze body, which tends to get brittle in long term storage. There are no markings on the fuze body. The markings “??? C 27-84”. The “???” transliterates to UDZ. Scarce fuze to find. 2) German DM18A1. Typical striker release fuze design. A light blue plastic safety cover with a pull ring locking groove is on the top of the fuze. The safety handle has “ZOI – UEBHGR DM18A1 LOS DN” stamped into it. 3-5) Three fuzes with one being French and the others unknown. 6-7) Two fuzes Unknown Country-Long Description: Black plastic fuze body with no markings. The top of the fuzes are marked “PS198G; 001-016”. A hard foam rubber seal (with pieces missing) is on the base of the fuzes. Assume these fuzes for a commercial hand grenade. 8) Unknown European Fuze. Cal./Size: ¾-inch wide fuze body. OAL is 4 ¾-inches. it is black plastic.
