Goache on artist board signed lower right “C.N.H. 1902” and also titled and signed on the label mounted on reverse “Boat Study”. Measures 18” x 27” image only. Very good plus condition with no issues. Could use minor or light freshening (cleaning). Hemy studied at Newcastle school of art with William Bell Scott. Inspired by John Ruskin and pre-Raphaelite painters. Also studied in Antwerp under Baron Hendrik Leys. Heexhibited at England’s Royal Academy in 1869 and was elected to full membership in 1910. He lived in London and Falmouth, England. He completed many nautical scenes due to his proximity to the ocean and ships. Before hisdeath in 1917 he exhibited over 80 time at Royal Academy and his works were heralded in his lifetime. Very good to near fine condition. No damage. Est.: $1500-$3000

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
