6.75" clip point blade, iron decorated guard with engraved German silver handle. Marked on the guard with " SF CA, M. Gil." , with grip partially covering the stamps. This knife was found in a gold mine in Elko NV. An article included with the lot from the San Francisco Historical Society newsletter states this knife was discovered in a gold mine. **Knife has been lightly cleaned. The blade is gray with some light staining. The handle is excellent. No scabbard. A complete folder of information comes with the knife, including the provenance.** $1,000 - $1,500
