The Farewell Bison herd is one of four herds of Plains Bison in Alaska and inhabits the Farewell area of the drainages flowing into the Kuskokwim River. This is a pure plains bison strain, as DNA samples show no cattle incursions. This permit is for the D1351/352 areas and is good for March 1-31 OR August 22-October 10. Item includes 1 round trip flight from Anchorage to hunt area aboard deHavilland Beaver, provided by Sportsman’s Air Service. PLEASE NOTE: this is a non-guided hunt, guide service is available for additional purchase. This hunt is only available to residents and nonresidents as a draw hunt, making this tag a particularly valuable gift by Governor Walker and his office. We would like to thank the Governor for his generosity to APHA.
