Inuit Outfitting ApS
Summer/Fall Musk Ox and Reindeer/Caribou Hunt
This unique adventure was recently experienced with this outfitter by our Badgerland Chapter president Randy Mayes. This musk ox hunt is typically enjoyed in 40 – 50 ABOVE zero rather than below! The other advantage of this hunt over a winter hunt is that you can combine it with Caribou or as they refer to them, Reindeer. At 2 ½ days of actual hunting, this may seem like a short hunt. It is, but one thing to take into consideration is that the weather is very stable. A day of hunting is seldom lost to weather as compared to say Alaska. The other factor that makes this musk ox hunt 100% successful in most years is the very high population. The musk ox are plentiful and a joy to stalk! This hunt includes all meals, comfortable cabin lodging and guiding (2 on 1). Because of scheduling, this hunt must be taken during available dates in August 2020. It includes the trophy fee for one musk ox. You can add a Reindeer or a second Musk Ox for 1200 Euros (approx. $1300). Also included is a short helicopter flight to camp from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland as well as a one night stay in Kangerlussaq. This hunt can be done with bow or rifle. It is easy to transport a regular compound or recurved bow to Greenland. Firearms however are difficult as travel is generally through Denmark. The outfitter has gun rental available for $150. Not included is your transportation to Kangerlussuag and shipping or your trophie ( s ) . Regarding the value of this hunt, in the past this outfitter has typically been using booking agents who sold this hunt for $10,000. The winning bidder can take up to three hunters at the same price as the winning bid. The price for the additional hunters is paid directly to the outfitter.
