REVOLVER. Cal. 22 RF. S# 103397. Bbl. 4 3/8". "No Name" double action revolver mfg. by Harrington & Richardson. Revolver is devoid of any markings save for "22 RIM FIRE" on the left side of the bbl., likely indicating that it was manufactured for a period retailer. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece elongated checkered black hard rubber grips. Blade front sight, with no provision for a rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame (front of grip strap and beneath left grip panel), cyl. (via "97"), as well as the grips, which are lightly inscribed "397" on the interior of the panels. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: previous auction listing for this revolver. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, save for some light edge wear, as well as some scattered flecks of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few spots of what appears to be pitting towards the muzzle while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Left grip panel exhibits a small chip in the upper left-hand corner that does not affect serviceability. A very nice example of an unusual double-action revolver by H&R. PROVENANCE: from the collection of a Tennessee gentleman. (24-4536/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
