For anyone who has been to the Elk Camp auctions, you will remember Morris Erickson of Handcarved Fine Furniture, the talented furniture maker with exquisite wildlife carvings. His generosity has included not only the donation of his furniture, but to help set up the auction, repair anything that needs fixing, help crate things up and just spread some joy while at Elk Camp. He and his lovely wife, Edna Mae have come to countless conventions and could always be found with a sweet voice and a smile. Unfortunately Morris’s health won’t allow him to attend convention this year and he couldn’t build the furniture he is so famous for. But, he did not want to miss out on Elk Camp so sent three beautiful paintings instead. Morris has contributed more than $247,000 to RMEF’s Partners in Conservation Program

Auction Terms of Sale
The auctioneer has final authority on the amount bid for any item and/or the identity of the purchaser of any item. By bidding on an item or service, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase that item or service. All sales are final.

Firearms
All firearms will be shipped from RMEF headquarters in Missoula, MT to an FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer of the winner/buyer’s choice. It is the responsibility of any raffle winner or auction buyer to make arrangements with the FFL and to know the local firearms laws. Before taking possession, the winner/buyer will be required to complete a background check. If for any reason the winner/buyer is not eligible to receive the firearm, it is not the responsibility of RMEF to provide an alternate or to issue any refunds.
Hunts and Trips
Additional expenses not included in donated hunts and trips may include but are not limited to gratuity, taxes, taxidermy, transportation, meat packaging and processing, and shipping.
Tax Deductions/IRS
The market value or estimated fair market value will be provided for each auction item. IRS rules permit a charitable contribution for the amount paid in excess of fair market value. Only that part of the payment made with the intention of making a gift and for which the taxpayer receives no consideration qualifies as a contribution. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the tax deductibility of any item purchased at auction.
