CENTERFIRE SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 32 S&W. S# 90555. Bbl. 3". Model 1 1/2 Centerfire single action top break revolver mfg. by Smith & Wesson. The top of the solid bbl. rib is marked with Smith & Wesson's mfg. and patent information, with the top strap marked "PAT'D APR.20.76" above "& DEC 18.1877." Frame, cyl., and slide exhibit a lustrous high polish nickel-plated finish, with the trigger and hammer exhibiting a case-color hardened finish. Bbl. latch is blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece S&W monogram checkered black hard rubber grips. Half-moon blade front sight, with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, cyl., bbl., and bbl. latch. Right grip is inscribed with the full S# on the interior of the panel. CONDITION: Nickel-plated components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting some superficial handling marks as well as some small scattered spots of flaking overall. Hammer retains fair to good amounts of their original case color hardened finish, with the trigger retaining a mostly gray patina. Very bright bore, exhibiting some spots of light pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage but otherwise remain very good overall. A high-condition and extremely attractive example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1 1/2 Centerfire revolver. PROVENANCE: from the collection of a Tennessee gentleman. (01-25712/MLW). ANTIQUE. $800-1,000.
