Early Indian Wars, "Custer era" Hagner No.2 Cartridge Pouch – Modified for Cavalry Use. This variant had the brass finial and closing tab interchanged for easier access to ammunition for the cavalryman. The pouch holds 24 rounds of .45/70 ammunition. Also fitted with a swelled section for the combination tool. This variation has 18 canvas loops on the inside, and 8 loops sewn on the outside of the front, there is a faint outline of the US oval visible. Contains 21 vintage rounds of 45-70 cartridges made by U.M.C, a period broken shell extractor, and combination tool. the pouch is poor with stiff, flaking leather, and the flap strap is broken.
