The Eastern Chapter is proud to offer a custom rifle from one of the most famous gunmakers of the 20th century. Hal Hartley (1909-1984) worked out of his shop in the mountains near Lenoir, NC. This gun features flawless checkering, with a Dall Sheep engraved on one side and a Polar Bear engraved on the the other.
Hal Hartley was known as "The master of the maple stock, who worked in Lenoir, NC and he used the maple wood that he harvested on his own property. Hartley had a technique which involved using a torch to accent the stripes in the maple. His work is easily recognizable, as no one has ever mastered his technique."
This gun is being offered to us for sale by Life Member Leonard Beecher. Hal made this gun for Leonard in 1980. This gun is one of the few Hal Hartley guns left in pristine new condition.
Here is your chance to own a piece of history by one of the most famous gunmakers ever.
