We are fortunate to offer this Heidi and Klaus Hiptmayer custom rifle. Heidi was born in Austria and was a Ferlach trained engraver and worked with her husband in Quebec and British Columbia, Canada. Klaus Hiptmayer built fine firearms and was a renown stock maker who only used hand tools to build the stocks. Both Heidi and Klaus were master craftsman who are no longer with us. This is your chance to purchase a masterpiece in wood and metal.
The rifle is a Heym Model SR 20N in 30-06 caliber made in Germany. The Barrel is 24" and appears to be in excellent condition. The stock is made of dark fiddleback and very dense walnut (Possibly European). The rifle has an ebony tip which has a very fine crack in it. It has wrap around checkering on the forearm and 2 panels on the grip. The stock has an oil finish. There is minor marks and safe kisses in the stock. The barrel has been rust blued and has front and rear ramp sights that have been scroll engraved with gold highlights. The exterior of the action, and bolt shroud and scope rings and bases have 100% engraved coverage. The surface of the trigger guard and floorplate have approx. 95% engraved coverage with a gold Whitetail Deer and fleur-de-lis inlays. The grip cap also has 100% engraved coverage with H H gold inlay. There also is an engraved cartridge box installed in the buttstock.
This rifle is a masterpiece that would be the centerpiece in any collection.
