Henry Deringer percussion pistol of large size and caliber remaining in near fine condition with deluxe features. Measures 8 ¼” overall with almost 4” barrel of .54 caliber with 7 grove rifling. Fancy engraved German silver mounts with cap boxin butt and pineapple finial on trigger guard. Shows derringer marking on lock and breech with “P” in sunburst proof. Double silver banded at the breech end of the barrel. Bell shaped engraved plaque at the top of the wrist and characteristicderringer side plate and features. The barrel shows 50%-75% original brown with strong evidence of mercury stripping. The lock, breech, and tang show satin case hardening colors. The checkering stocks are very good plus with slight edge wear to the checkering. Correct style brass tipped and ended ramrod which may be the original. A very large bore and impressive Deringer.
