Superb quality over/under sidelock double rifle & double barrel shotgun, factory two barrel set with .375/.375 H&H Mag & 20/20 Gauge barrels. Manufactured in West Germany circa 1979 by Friedrich Wilh. Heym. Configuration: Coin finished receiver with beautiful Germanic scroll & game scene engraving including three red deer on the left side plate & three boar on the right side plate, selective automatic ejectors, blued 25" barrels with solid sighting rib & double Kersten locks, raised blade front sight, dovetailed rear sight, claw mounted Hertel & Reuss 3-10x scope with #4 reticle, double triggers with single set trigger in front, brass cocked indicators, sliding tang safety, knurled top lever, sling swivel studs, finely point checkered select walnut forend with Delley release and extra fancy walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with black grip cap, beaded right handed cheekpiece & black serrated buttplate. Includes an exquisite leather wrapped hand built & fitted trunk case by Huey. Invoices show that this case cost $925.00 in 1980. The magnificent case features a highly polish select oak frame, select grade A 4-oz cowhide cover with hand-stiched corners, burgundy Ultra-Suede lined interior, polished oak-topped partitions, brass furniture and a leather piped heavy canvas cover. The case houses the 20/20 gauge barrels with forend, two English made oiler bottles, 20ga & .375 H&H snap cap sets, three-piece wood handled screw driver set, leather sling and invoices from Huey & Waidmannsheil Limited. The receiver retains nearly all of its original finish showing little to no visible wear. The barrels on the other hand have unfortunately fallen victim to some light surface rust, most of which has been wiped off with an oiled rag. The rifle barrels display a nice even dark appearance but upon close inspection steaks of bright original blue are seen with the balance dark brown. The 28" modified/cylinder fixed choke shotgun barrels with 2 3/4" chambers faired better with approximately 70% original bluing intact with the same dark brown along the top barrel where the rust had been. The shotgun barrels also show some heavier rust on the muzzle & a in a spot on the underside of the bottom barrel. Action is tight, the rifle bores are pristine, shotgun bores are pristine other than some rust at the muzzle, the optics are sharp and the satin finished figured wood stocks are extra fine. Condition is NRA Good to Very Good. ***Modern Firearm*** [From the Jim Wilkinson Rifle Ranch Collection]
