Holland & Holland antique side lock SxS shotgun in 12GA with 28” Damascus barrels (Mod-right barrel and full-left barrel). The frame and action are bank note scroll engraved and the action is similar to W.C.Scott’s patent of 1880s, S/N 6332. In very good plus condition showing an older European restoration of good quality with barrels showing 95%-98% tobacco brown colored refinish. The action is polished and theguard re-blued nicely. The stocks show quality refinish with sharpening to checkering. A repair to the toe of the buttstock is visible. The stock measures 14” with a 2” drop at the comb and 2 7/8” at thebutt. No appreciable cast or canter. The action locks tight and generally very good overall with good bores and “Meaty” barrels. An interesting Holland & Holland marked climax safety hammerless on the left side ofthe frame. H&H markings on the lock and barrel shows”98 New Bond St., London” address. Weighs about 6.25 pounds.
