Horseman’s size 18th century Roman lock miquelet flintlock pistol with burl wood stock and elaborate engraved and gilt brass mounts. Measures 19” overall with 12 ½” barrel of approximately .45 calibersmoothbore. Original belt hook retained. The mounts show hand engraving of eagle facing right with wings spread on plaque in fore end, on trigger guard, and plaque at the top of wrist. Side plate engraved with gamescene. The metal shows a gray brown patina with slight pitting and erosion with just normal aging. The stock shows a beautiful grain with no splices or repairs and is very good plus. Brass tipped correct style ramrodincluded. An unusually large Roman lock with nicely and deluxe engraved mounts. (Antique) Est.: $1500-$3000

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
