1) A 5-medal bar consisting of the Navy Good Conduct Medal with 1 star named to "WILLIAM SIMS 1946", American Defense Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. Sims was assigned to the USS Hollandia. 2) A 5-medal bar consisting of the Navy Good Conduct Medal with 3 stars named to "WILLIAM SEYMORE MCPHAIL, JR. 1945", American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, European Campaign Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. 3) A 5-medal bar consisting of the Navy Good Conduct Medal with 4 stars named to "MILLEDGE CLARK WILLIS, JR. 1948", Naval Reserve Faithful Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, and WWII Victory Medal. 4) A group of 8 medals belonging to Colonel Wallace J. Redner QMC, US Army. Medals are housed in a display case with gold letters on the top that read "WALLACE J. REDNER 0-5322 US ARMY". Also included is a copy of a photograph of Redner and a selection of his Army paperwork. Medals include WWI Victory Medal with France bar, WWI Army of Occupation, Bronze Star, American Defense Medal with Foreign Service Bar, American Campaign Medal, European Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and French Croix de Guerre with 1 star. 5) 4 Unissued WWI Pennsylvania National Guard Service Medals by Davidson's of Philadelphia. 6) A small group belonging to Raymond Magness relating to his service in WWI. The lot includes a tattered 48-star flag, the soldier's paybook, various photographs & postcards, newspaper clippings, his personal diary for the year 1918, 2 silk handkerchiefs from Camp Merritt, New Jersey, and other small mementos. 7) A small "Son in Service" banner. 8) WWII Naval officer's cap band & cap device. CONDITION: medals generally show light wear. Ribbons remain strong. Ephemera shows expected age & wear with no serious issues except as noted. (02-19504/BF). $400-600.
