NO. 1: German Model 98K Bayonet w/ Matching Scabbard & Luftwaffe Marked Frog. 10" fullered blade. Blued blade is marked "Coppel G.mb. H." Back of blade marked "40". Right ricasso is marked "7556f". Ribbed brown composite grips. Pommel is marked w/ 2 "WAA 253". Matching steel scabbard. Leather frog is marked on back w/ faint maker's marking. 1937 date is visible. Luftwaffe markings appear to be "L. B. A. [S]". CONDITION: bayonet retain a large degree of its original blue finish. Blade is unsharpened. Grips have light wear & handling marks. Steel scabbard has 50% blue w/ areas of oxidation & fine pitting. Leather frog has light wear & flexing. Stitching is tight. NO. 2: Model 98K Bayonet. 9 3/4" fullered blade. Blade is marked on left ricasso w/ double struck 41 & "asw". Grooved brown composite grips. Pommel is marked w/ 2 "WAA 883". Steel scabbard. Black leather frog marked on back "gfg". CONDITION: bayonet has moderate thinning & light wear of its blued surfaces. Grips have moderate wear & handling marks. Blued scabbard has light oxidation turning patina. Frog is well-worn w/ flexing, but retains tight stitching. NO. 3: Model 98K Bayonet. 9 7/8" fullered blade marked on right ricasso "Berg & Co.". Back of blade marked "39". Right ricasso has serial number. Crossguard marked w/ script "N 4394 P". Steel scabbard marked "S / 155" dated 1937 & two serial numbers. CONDITION: blade has 50% original blue w/ thinning & wear. Tip shows heat damage. Balance of metal turning gray w/ moderately worn grips. Scabbard turning gray & patina w/ several shallow dents. NO. 4: Model 95 Mannlicher Bayonet. Upward cutting 11 5/8" fullered blade. Blade marked on left ricasso w/ "Dzso". Smooth walnut grips. Steel scabbard marked "ZSO". Hook has been repaired by brazing. CONDITION: metal is turning overall gray & patina w/ oxidation, fine pitting & notable "bored soldier" dents. Grips are worn, cracked & have several large missing chips. NO. 5: German Model 71/84. Equipped w/ muzzle ring & without flash guard. Marked of left ricasso "SIMPSON & CO / SUHL". Serial numbered on crossguard. Smooth walnut grips held by 2 rivets. Black leather scabbard w/ metal throat & tip. CONDITION: bright blade turning gray & patina. Blade is unsharpened. Balance of metal is patina. Grips have moderate wear & handling marks throughout. Metal throat has become detached from scabbard. Throat & tip are overall patina. NO. 6: Czech VZ 24 marked only w/ serial number. 11 3/4" fullered blade. Crossguard secured by 2 pins. Smooth walnut grips. Steel scabbard w/ ball finial. CONDITION: bayonet has traces of blue turning overall gray w/ wear, handling marks & overall oxidation. Scabbard turning gray w/ oxidation & fine pitting w/ numerous small dents. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (02-23053-1/RW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
