AND KRAG RIFLES. 1) US Navy MKI training bayonet. 15 5/8" non fullered plastic blade. Marked on left rIcasso "U.S.N. MARK I". Marked on right ricasso w/ "PGB NXSO-17,249". Straight plastic cross guard. Grooved plastic grips. Birds head pommel. Green plastic scabbard marked on metal throat "USN MKI". CONDITION: bayonet has light wear, scratches & handling marks throughout. Scabbard has light wear. 2) Model 1892 Krag. 11 5/8" bright fullered blade. Marked "US" on right ricasso. "1898" on left. Straight cross guard. Smooth walnut grips retained by 2 flush rivets. Birds head pommel. Blued steel scabbard w/ Birnie belt attachment. CONDITION: bayonet has light wear & spots of peppery oxidation. Notable area of oxidation at pommel. Grips have spots of orange paint. Scabbard has traces of blue w/ wear, oxidation & fine pitting throughout. 3) Model 1892 Krag. 11 5/8" fullered bright blade. Blade is marked faintly on right ricasso "US" & has partially obscured "1897" date on left ricasso. Straight cross guard. Smooth walnut grips retained by 2 flush rivets. Birds head pommel. Blued steel scabbard w/ Birnie belt attachment. CONDITION: bayonet has been sharpened. Metal parts have wear, oxidation & areas of fine pitting throughout. Grips are well worn w/ notable dent on left grip. Scabbard retains a large percentage w/ original blue w/ spots of oxidation & fine pitting. 4) Model 1905 Springfield w/ 15 13/16" fullered blue blade. Blade is marked on left ricasso "SA" flaming bomb "!909". Marked on right ricasso w/ "US" & S#. Walnut grips. Birds head pommel. Khaki colored canvas covered scabbard. Brown leather tip marked "BAUER BROS. 1917 M.S.". Marked on back w/ "8". CONDITION: blade has traces of thinning blue w/ wear & light oxidation. Blade has been sharpened. Balance of metal is gray & patina. Grips have heavily worn weathered appearance. Retaining screw protrudes from left side. Scabbard has wear, staining & scuffing w/ loose stitching at tip. 5) Model 1905 Springfield 15 5/8" fullered blued blade. Marked on left ricasso "SA" flaming bomb "1917". Marked on right ricasso "US" & S#. Straight cross guard. Coarse turned walnut grips. Birds head pommel. Khaki colored canvas covered scabbard. Brown leather tip has no visible markings. Canvas is marked on back "OEW". CONDITION: blade retains 50% thinning blue finish. Blade has been sharpened. Balance of metal turning gray. Grips have well worn appearance. Scabbard has wear staining & scuffing. 6) Model 1905 Springfield. 16" blued fullered blade. Marked on left ricasso "R.I.A.", flaming bomb, "1918". Marked on right ricasso "US" & S#. Straight cross guard. Coarse turned walnut grips which appear to be replacements. Birds head pommel. Scabbard is covered w/ greenish canvas. Unmarked leather tip. Marked on back "S 1173". CONDITION: well worn blade has been sharpened w/ oxidation & fine pitting throughout. Balance of metal has wear turning gray & patina. Grips are heavily worn but not well fitted. Scabbard has wear staining & scuffing. Interior is detached from covering. 7) Model 1905 Springfield 16" bright fullered blade. Marked on left ricasso "SA" flaming bomb "1908". Marked on right ricasso "US" & S#. Straight cross guard. Coarse turned replacement walnut grips. Birds head pommel. Early leather scabbard w/ metal throat & Bernie belt attachment. Scabbard marked "R.I.A. 1908 H.E.K. A/O". CONDITION: bright blade has wear & peppery oxidation. Balance of metal turning gray & patina. Worn grips w/ added finish. Leather scabbard has wear scuffing. Missing leather covering at tip & areas of loose stitching. 8) Model 1905 Springfield 15 3/4" bright fullered blade. Marked on left ricasso "SA" flaming bomb, "1916". Straight cross guard. Smooth walnut grips. Birds head pommel. Early leather scabbard w/ Birnie belt attachment. Black painted scabbard is marked "R.I.A. 1907 E.E.B.". CONDITION: blade has been sharpened w/ wear & spots of peppery oxidation. Balance of metal has oxidation turning gray & patina. Grips are worn w/ handling marks. Scabbard has flaking scuffed black finish w/ scratches & shallow cuts. Metal throat has grind marks across top rivet. 9) Model 1905 Springfield. 15 7/8" fullered bright blade. Marked on left ricasso "SA" flaming bomb, "1908". On right ricasso "US" & S#. Straight cross guard marked "A 40". Coarse turned walnut grips likely early replacements. Birds head pommel. Leather scabbard w/ Bernie belt attachment. Leather scabbard marked only w/ "18" appears to be missing its reinforcing tip. CONDITION: blade has wear staining, & freckling. Has been sharpened. Balance of metal is oxidized turning patina. Grips are well worn. Scabbard has extensive wear, scuffing & flexing. 10) Model 1905 Springfield. 15 7/8" blue fullered blade. Marked "SA", flaming bomb, "1906" on left ricasso. Marked on right ricasso "US" & S#. Straight cross guard. Replacement coarse turned walnut grips. Birds head pommel. Brown leather scabbard originally marked on back "R.I.A. 1906 W.K.". Scabbard has leather repair at throat marked "R.I.A. 1921". Belt hook is not present. Has added leather tip. CONDITION: blade is sharpened w/ wear, thinning finish & a number of dents on back plus notable nicks on cutting edge. Balance of metal is mostly patina. Well worn grips.
