and inscribed “Albert Prince of Wales” on the left and “God Save the King” over a ribbon with “Remember, A.R. Del C, Negrete, L.G. Murillo, Mexican West Coast”. Also dated 1920. The blade is beautifully hand engraved with jaguars, beasts, scrolls, Mexican snake and eagle with Vaquero roping steer. Horn grip with eagle head in very good to near fine condition. 31” overall with a 26” blade and 2 5/8” at the widest point. A letter from Royal archives signed by archivist Julie Snelling states in summary that Edward Prince of wales (Later King) did stop in Mexico on his way back from Australia abroad the HMS Renown in 1920 Should bear fruitful research as to the occasion of the presentation. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
