**Interesting Wards Western Field Model 10 top break single shot shotgun, .410 gauge, 26” barrel, no S/N, blued and case hardened finish, wood stocks with old collection tag “Estelle Taylor, 8235 Romaine @ LA (Toila?)” on one side and “Married to Jack Dempsey” on the other side of tag. This shotgun is in overall good to very good un-cleaned condition showing considerable muted original blue on the barrel and considerable muted original case colors on the receiver. The action is strong, the markings are crisp and the bore should clean to good or better. The wood stocks are overall good with scattered old mars and scratches from storage. Silent movie screen star Estelle Taylor (1894-1958) was married to World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Jack Dempsey in the 1920’s. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This gun comes from a Los Angeles estate with no additional documentation beyond the tag. Est.: $100-$200.
