Intriguing cased pinfire pistol with plaque on the lid of the box inscribed in period script and block letters, “A Monsieur Paccaud, Souvenier des Elevesdu College, D’ Arbeuille”. The revolver is a medium sizedouble action in 9mm pinfire six shot with fixed trigger guard and bag shaped grip. Measures approximately 9” overall with a 4” barrel. Belgium proofs and no other markings. Light rust and slight erosion on French gray on bright metal polished finish. Good condition with minor beginning pitting and normal aging. Tight action and crisp bore. Deluxe form fitted French case in good to very good condition with slightly faded andnicely aged velvet lining. 1 large compartment with original cover. The case is leather covered with brass tacks and also very good plus with minor aging and slight imperfections. Would be interesting andpossibly rewarding to research inscription.
