Ithaca frame manufactured in 1944. Remington Rand slide. Magazine fed, short recoil. Grip safety. Lanyard ring. Right frame stamped "United States Property" with the serial number below it and "M1911A1 U.S. Army". Left side of slide is stamped in 2 lines "Remington Rand Inc. Syracuse,New York." "P" is stamped below the magazine release button. Barrel stamped " Colt .45 Auto". Feint "FJA" inspectors stamp is present below the slide catch. (Col. Frank J. Atwood) . "SAC CA" is stamped over the inspectors mark. This is a partial import mark of "IA CO. SAC CA" showing this pistol was re-imported to the U.S. from another country. Checkered wood grips. Bore is excellent/bright. Slide action is smooth/tight. Parkerized wartime finish has edge/handling wear and some scattered very light pin-prick pitting, mostly on the slide. Comes with original unmarked two tone magazine.
