Used John Dickson & Son Percussion 14 Bore Double Rifle. Barrel is marked of 60. Prencis Street Edinborough. Barrels are approximately 26" in length and made of Damascus Steel. The bores have 2 lands and 2 grooves and are in good condition with some light pitting. The rifle has a solid rib with a blade front sight and a 3 leaf rear sight. There is extensive scroll engraving on the side plates, hammers, trigger guard buttplate and forend furniture. The walnut stock has dents, scratches and marks as per its age. See Photos. The barrels have a grey brown patina with the damascus markings. This is an all original rifle, including the ramrod. A Best Quality Gun from a firm that only made "Best Guns". A true survivor from the 1800's. This rifle is classed as a Antique in Canada.
All used firearms should be inspected by a competent gunsmith before firing.
