Jurassic Classic on the famous Columbia River

The 9th Annual Jurassic Classic Sturgeon Fishing Tournament, supported by the Wild Sheep Foundation, Wild Sheep Society of BC (WSSBC), and the Guide Outfitters Association of BC (GOABC), will take place on the majestic Fraser River in British Columbia, Canada, from August 22-25, 2025. This event brings together conservationists from across North America to raise funds for wild sheep conservation projects in British Columbia. The tournament will feature 28 professionally guided teams, each consisting of two anglers, and all teams will fish together as a boat/team of four participants. This all-inclusive event includes two days of world-class sturgeon fishing, meals, three nights of hotel accommodations, and an awards banquet on the final evening.
The prize package for the event in 2024 was valued at nearly $15,000, and in the same year, a total of 135 fish were caught, including five fish over 9 feet in length and several over 7.5 feet. This tournament is exclusive to those who purchase teams through conservation chapters and affiliates, making it a unique and sought-after experience. The focus of the event is to support wild sheep projects in British Columbia while offering the 56 anglers great camaraderie and friendly competition.
Participants will enjoy a Wild Game BBQ on the shores of the Fraser River on Saturday evening. The tournament is hosted by Great River Fishing Adventures, known for their fully guided world-class white sturgeon charters, where fish can exceed 1,500 pounds and 13 feet in length. In 2024, the event raised over $75,000 for wild sheep projects, and demand for 2025 is already extremely high, with returning guests filling up the event. This is one of the only opportunities to be part of this prestigious event and support the Wild Sheep Foundation.
