This is a 6-night and 7-day photographic safari for 2 persons to be taken in 2024 or 2025 with luxury lodge accommodations in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa with the option to hunt at a substantial discount.
The lodge is situated in a private 60,000-acre game reserve that hosts the Big Five and plains game animals that are native to the area.
The donation includes:
- 6 nights and 7 days accommodation for 2 people,
- All meals and 6 open vehicle game drives on out Big Five Game Reserve.
The photo safari will be fully guided, and you can decide on the activities you would like to partake in and the times that you would prefer taking your game drives.
The facilities include your own ensuite chalet with a swimming pool, dining room, lounge, bar, and an outdoor fireplace for your evening enjoyment.
Fly into Johannesburg and then convenient connecting flights to Richards Bay Airport or Durban where lodge staff will be ready and waiting to meet you.
The transfer fee from Richards Bay Airport to the lodge and return is $380/vehicle/8 passengers; and for a rebound trip from Durban, it is $760/vehicle/8 passengers.
It is important to note that this is not a self-drive safari.
The photo safari can be upgraded at a discounted rate to include additional people for the same time at $4,200 per couple, $2,550 per single adult, and $1,150 for children under 12 years old.
Hunting is available during the photo safari time at a discounted rate of $295/day (1x1) or $230/day 2x1 & observer $130.
Extra hunting days prior to or after the photo safari are $395/day (1x1) or $295/day (2x1) & observer & observer $200.
Hunting daily rates include professional hunter with vehicle, tracker, skinning and field prep of trophies and extra cost are the trophy fees and price of an overnight stay at a location other than the main lodge if necessary.

Where shipping is required, it will be the bidder’s responsibility to pay for the packaging and shipping.
Any firearms shipments, the purchaser will have to pay the transfer fees to the FFL Dealer and provide a copy of the FFL Dealer license to First Stop Gun Shop in Rapid City, SD.

Online Live Auction Policy
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on auctioned hunts, services and/or items, including fishing trips (hereinafter “hunts”).
All such auctioned hunts must be used within the timeframe specified on the donation. If no date range is specified, all such hunts must be used within one year of the date of purchase or work with the outfitter to change the dates of the hunt.
The purchaser (winning bidder) must contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase.
If the purchaser fails to contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase, the donor may consider the donation invalid.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact the hunt and/or services donor immediately, make all necessary arrangements for dates, and submit the application for any necessary paperwork for licenses and/or permits.
SCI-GDC is not, and will not act as, a conduit or go-between between the purchaser and donor.
SCI-GDC has made reasonable efforts to ensure the quality of donated hunts, items, and other services; however, SCI-GDC does not guarantee the satisfaction of the donor or the purchaser.
All donors provided notice on the SCI-GDC donation form, or other supporting documents they submitted to SCI-GDC with their donation, specifics regarding the duration (in days) of the hunt/service and the available date range for completion of the hunt or service offered in the donation. They also addressed what lodging/accommodations are offered and what trophy fees are included with the donation. A copy of this donation form (and/or supporting documents) will be provided to the winning bidder if he/she requests the subject documents formally in writing to SCI-GDC within 12 months of the auction date.
SCI-GDC does not guarantee or warrant that a trophy animal or any animal will be taken during the period of the hunt. Locating or taking an animal of any trophy quality or otherwise is not a condition of acceptance by the purchaser for the purchased hunt.
A person who bids on behalf of another person or group is responsible for payment in its entirety.
Several bid items have undisclosed reserve amounts. The seller or its designee reserves the right to bid up to, but not over, the undisclosed reserve amount.
The goods and services offered in the auction are sold “as is,” including any faults or defects, and without any express or implied warranty or guarantees on the part of SCI-GDC or Safari Club International (SCI). SCI-GDC and SCI make no warranties of fitness or merchantability.
The winning bidder acknowledges that SCI-GDC and SCI cannot be responsible for, or liable for, any political unrest, epidemic, acts of god, or instability that may occur inside or outside the United States, nor can SCI-GDC or SCI be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
SCI-GDC. The winning bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances.
SCI-GDC reserves the right to add/withdraw any item from the auction line-up.
