Collection of Western Memorabilia items related to the "Miller Brothers 101 Ranch" and the "101 Ranch Wild West Show" run by Joe Miller, oldest of the Miller Brothers. Items are associated with Glenn Stephens, known as the "Kinsy Kid" (because he was from Kinsy Montana), who rode for the 101 Ranch. #1) SN: 118326 Colt model 1877 "Lightning" 38 cal revolver features double action trigger, 4-1/2" barrel, fixed sights, nickel finish, two piece ivory grips, 6 shot fluted cylinder. Bore is fair to good condition, lightly frosted with sharp rifling. Appears refinished, with partial erosion of many markings, dishing around screw holes. Grips are good condition. Action operates smoothly with good lockup. Museum tag "693" attached to triggerguard. Condition is NRA Good - refinished *** Modern Firearm *** #2) Beaded Holster featuring leather construction, full coverage beaded face with blue on white "101 Kinsey Kid" and black on yellow "1926", with red/white bead pattern border. Condition is good with supple leather, no visible losses to beadwork. #3) Gunbelt - leather with cartridge loops, attributed to ownership of Glenn Stephens. #4) Documents Collection: - Letter from Jerry E. Murphey, noted 101 Ranch collector, dated December 5th 1997, describing the Colt Revolver & Holster as authentic. - Letter from Valma Stephens, Glenn Stephens' daughter, with brief bio info on her father, listing the revolver by serial number and describing the holster. Letter is laminated, enclosed in the lamination are a postcard featuring Joe Miller, and a 101 Ranch Wild West Show route card for 1926. - Extracts from a previous auction (1990's) listing the revolver, gun belt & holster, with the above documents. - Auction catalog from 2006 with listing and photograph of all above items, plus the later addition of a storage and travel trunk and other items. #5) Kinsy Kid decorated trunk, featuring lid graphics and old photos inside the lid, in keeping with the description given of Glenn Stephens being named "All Around Cowboy" in 1936. The trunk is in fair condition overall, working hinges & latches, leather handles dry and rotted, has an even treatment of a dark color stain to accentuate the look of age. Includes an older coiled ropein fair condition.
