Early Krieghoff San Remo Model 32 Over/Under Shotgun With Four Fitted Barrel Sets and Five Sub-Gauge Insert Sets, #577, blue finish, single selective mechanical trigger with barrel selector toggle in the trigger guard and manual top tang safety, all barrels 28'' with 8mm ventilated ribs, white front and silver middle beads, no import marks. Bbl. 1) #577, 12 ga., 2-3/4'', Ulm Proof date 9/59, bores measure .740'' and .736'', originally marked ''TRAP''. The top barrel choke is opened to .006'' and the bottom barrel is threaded for removable choke tubes with a 010'' tube installed. Bbl. 2) #577, 20 ga., 2-3/4'', Simmons Kansas City address on rib, bores measure .615'' and .614'', no choke constriction. Bbl. 3) #577, 28 ga., 2-3/4'', Simmons Kansas City address on rib, bores measure .563'' with .007'' and .005'' chokes. Bbl. 4) #577, .410'', 2-3/4'', chokes stamped Skeet/Skeet, Simmons Kansas City address on rib. Sub-gauge inserts by Briley are 20 ga., 28 ga., and .410'', all with removable skeet chokes installed; sub-gauge inserts by Purbaugh are 28 ga. and .410'' both with skeet chokes and matching ejectors. The San Remo Model frame is fully engraved in the Germanic style with broad leaf-scroll patterns and punch-dot backgrounds which border game scene panels having three pheasant in woodlands on the left side and three ducks in a reeded pond on the right side, the engraved triggerguard bow is gold inlaid with script initials ''F-R-B''. The stock and forearm set are custom Hydro-Coil replacements with 28 LPI checkering and a black 7/8'' soft rubber recoil pad. Length of pull compressed is 13-1/4'', extended is 14-5/8'', drop at comb is 1-1/4'', drop at heel is 1-1/2'', assembled weight with bbl. 1 is 8-1/2 lbs. Frame and bbl. 1 are contained in a tan leatherette and wood key lock trunk case, no keys present; the small bore barrels are in an early Browning small bore Hartmann fitted luggage case with barrel tools, accessories and spare parts, no keys. Overall condition is very good with 95% blue on the frame and barrels along with scattered scuffs and fine scratches on the barrel ribs; barrel and insert bores are bright, the trigger and barrel selector are slightly loose in the action, the sliding safety is deactivated and locked in the ''FIRE'' position, the Hydro-Coil cylinders are inactive, barrel lock-up is firm but should be inspected along with internal action components. Stock wood has moderate use and handling marks, more noticeably on the forend. Est.: $4,000-$6,000. (C&R)
