Asian Mountain Outfitters offers a unique and adventurous mountain hunting experience in Kyrgyzstan, for one of most incredible mountain sheep in the world, the majestic Hume Argali, a subspecies of the Marco Polo sheep. The rifle hunt date will be Oct. or Nov. 2018; it is approximately 7-8 days of hunting, plus travel. Arrangements can be made to postpone hunt until 2019 (with approval from Asian Mountain Outfitters, and if Govt. fees increase, hunters pay this increase).
This hunt is conducted on horseback/foot at 11,000-13,500’. The drive to hunting camp is 8 to 13 hours, depending on weather and camp location. This hunt is not a North American Hunt; hunters need to be prepared for cultural/language differences, long range and sometimes quick shooting (proficient at 500+ yards). The climate is similar to the high & dry areas of CO, NM and NV. All Kyrgyzstan hunting licenses and fees are included. The hunter is responsible for the flight to and from Bishkek via Turkish Air/Istanbul, Airport VIP service, meals and lodging while in Bishkek (usually 2-3 nights), extra baggage fees for taking home skin/skull or shipping of trophies home and staff tips (clients will be provided with tip suggestions). The winning bidder will have their name submitted to the USFWS so that they will get USFWS CITES import permits. The U.S. CITES application with USFWS opens May 1st of each year and costs $100 US.
Most of the hunting areas have a heated house or cabin, and if spiking out, the hunter will use backpack style tents. A non-hunting companion is welcome for $2,500 US. If hunt space is available for an additional hunter, on the same hunt, the price is $27,500 US for one Marco Polo. A Mid-Asian Ibex can be added to this hunt for an additional $5,000 US. Typical sizes for Marco Polo Rams are 47”-52” and Ibex range average 38”-46”. Considerably larger animals of both species have been taken. Hunters can sometimes take the trophy(s) home in checked luggage if skins are dried enough, but many of our hunters decide to have them shipped via DHL, Fed Ex or Turkish Air Freight and cleared, using a wildlife import broker.
Asian Mountain Outfitters works with partners in several different hunting areas: both the Naryn and Issyk-Kul Regions and can also arrange Karalini (Tien Shan) for non-USA Hunters.
Our Managers/partners will meet clients at the airport and assist in all aspects of the hunts. The best local guides typically do not speak English but are skilled hunters and horsemen. If it is your first trip to Central Asia, we can arrange a Western/English speaking guide to accompany you (price is a minimum of $5,000 US, plus all their travel and trip expenses). Hunters who elect to hunt with just the local guides need to be able to assist in trophy judging & oversee the skin preparations. The best attitude is to go prepared as if it is a self-guided hunt, combined with local guides.
This hunt can be upgraded to a Tajikistan Marco Polo, with the hunters playing the difference in price between the two. Bryan Martin, the founder of Asian Mountain Outfitters, has conducted seminars at various conventions about equipment, shooting and what should be expected on such hunts. He has outfitted in Canada since 1999 and in Central Asia since 2002 and has personally been on many successful Marco Polo/Ibex hunts, spending over three months each year in Central Asia, to ensure that AMO is very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the hunts. Make sure to check out the Asian Mountain Outfitters website www.asianmountainoutfitters.com for additional information on this hunt and many others they offer in Tajikistan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Nepal, Pakistan, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Canada and Romania.
For more information, please contact Bryan Martin at Asian Mountain Outfitters, 250-317-5525 or via email at bryankmartin@gmail.com or his office manager Lynzy at asianmountainoutfitters@gmail.com.
We thank Bryan for this generous donation.

1. Although CCSCI encourages donors to list all extra and ancillary expenses not included in the donated hunt, such as travel, service and other items, the list of expenses in auction item descriptions should not be considered exhaustive or definitive, and CCSCI will not be held responsible for their completeness or accuracy. The amounts of additional expenses listed in auction item descriptions are approximations and are subject to change without notice. Bidders should contact relevant donors before bidding for additional and updated information about expenses one can expect to incur in taking a hunt or trip or in using a service or item.

No statement in the CCSCI publications, catalogues or brochures or in the bill of sale or invoice or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability by CCSCI. Any written warranties concerning the items purchased are those solely and expressly supplied by the manufacturer or donor of that item or hunt. Although third parties sometimes provide appraisals with items such as jewelry, CCSCI does not verify or warrant their accuracy or origin. Appraisals are the result of subjective valuations, and estimates of value and quality can vary markedly between competent and reliable appraisers. The provision of an appraisal does not represent a guarantee of value. Furthermore, any written or visual presentation done or offered by third parties does not necessarily reflect the opinion or attitude of CCSCI.
3. After bidding for an item concludes and the auctioneer designates a winning bidder, the designated winner (buyer) must immediately agree to a Buyer's Agreement. For buyers at the auction location, the buyer must sign the Buyer's Agreement and one copy will be given to the buyer. For online buyers, when the buyer clicks "I accept" after reading the Buyer's Agreement, or pays for the item, the buyer is deemed to agree to the Buyer's Agreement. For silent auctions, the Silent Auction Bid Sheet is considered the Buyer's Agreement to purchase the indicated item. All signatures on Buyer's Agreements, and "I accept" or payment for online purchases, are legal and binding. CCSCI will not recognize changes, additions or deletions to any auction description agreed to by the buyer and donor unless such changes are noted on the Buyer's Agreement and signed by the buyer and an authorized representative of the donor, or in the case of online buyers, noted in an electronic writing exchanged between the buyer and an authorized representative of the donor.
