Cal. 7.7 Jap. S# 73997. Bbl. 25 1/2". Blade front sight without protective ears. Fixed aperture rear sight. "Last Ditch" Type 99 rifle. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt, safety, firing pin & extractor. Bayonet lug is unnumbered as-is typical for later 99s. Receiver top has ground mum. Left side of receiver has Nagoya symbol, serial & what appears to be a 10th series marking. Blued finish. Asian hardwood stock with two-piece butt & separate forend. Handguard displays a loose fit. Rear sling hardware, rear tang screw & buttplate assembly are all missing. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Type 30 bayonet made by an unknown company under Kokura supervision with scabbard. Hooked crossguard & blued blade. Bayonet is in very good condition. CONDITION: refinished stock set with added varnish, a few chips, scattered dings & handling marks. Metal is mostly a gray color with scattered oxidation, dings & some possible faded touch up. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore is mostly bright but shows a couple patches of pitting.
