1) H. PIEPER SINGLE SHOT PARLOR RIFLE. Cal. 22 RF. 1468. Bbl. 24 1/4". Single shot parlor rifle mfg. by H. Pieper. Top of the bbl. is marked "H. PIEPER" towards the breech, with Belgian commercial proofs marked on the left. Underside of bbl. is marked with the S#, just forward of the forend. 1-piece checkered wood rnd. knob buttstock. Blade front sight, with V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain a brown patina, with scattered spots of oxidation overall. Bore exhibits scattered areas of dark pitting, while retaining fair rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered marks, minor impressions, and several chips, with a large crack present on the right side of the wrist. (24-5073/MLW). 2) UNKNOWN EUROPEAN SINGLE SHOT PARLOR RIFLE. Cal. 5.4mm. NSN. Bbl. 21 3/8". Single shot parlor rifle produced by an unknown mfg. Rifle is devoid of any markings, save for a small Crown/LS of the left flat of the bbl. Checkered straight grip wood stock, with foliate carving present at the forearm. Brass blade front sight, with V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: bbl. exhibits a dark gray patina, with scattered spots of oxidation. Remaining metal components have been cleaned, exhibiting pitting and scattered areas of oxidation. Dark pitted bore, with no visible rifling. Stock exhibits scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, some scattered chipping, as well as a repair at the toe of the butt. (24-5085/MLW). 3) BELGIAN SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 22 RF. S# M7035. Bbl. 20". Single shot breechloading rifle produced in Belgium by an unknown mfg. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "H.P'S. PATENT", with Belgian proofs marked on the left flat towards the breech. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. 1-piece plain wood straight grip stock. Brass bead front sight, with V-notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Pitted bore, retaining poor rifling throughout. Stock exhibits scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with a small crack on the left side. (24-5090/MLW). 4) BELGIAN SINGLE SHOT PARLOR RIFLE. Cal. 22 RF. NSN. Bbl. 22 1/4". Single shot parlor rifle produced in Belgium by an unknown mfg. Top flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "BELGIUM", with Belgian commercial proofs marked on the left side of the breech mechanism. Checkered wood rnd. knob buttstock. Blade front sight with V-notch rear sight. Forearm screw and right side breech screw are absent. Upper receiver tang screw is a contemporary replacement. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a dark gray patina, with heavy pitting present overall. Dark pitted bore, retaining poor rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered marks, impressions, and chipping from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-5122/MLW). ALL CURIO. $350-600.
