EDGED WEAPONS. Lot of assorted U.S. and foreign bayonets, knives, and edged weapons, including: 1) U.S. Navy Mk II fighting knife mfg. by Robeson Shuredge. Left side of the ricasso is marked "U.S.N.", with "ROBESON SHUREDGE" marked on the right. Steel cross guard and pommel. Brown leather disc handle, with added red hard rubber spacer beneath guard. CONDITION: blade shows scattered spots of dark pitting present overall. Guard and pommel exhibit a dark gray patina. Leather disc handle exhibits drying and cracking, with some losses overall. 2) U.S. M3 fighting knife mfg. by Pal Blade & Tool Co. Top of the guard is marked "U.S. M3/ PAL". Blade exhibits a parkerized finish, with the guard and pommel exhibiting a black enamel type finish. Grooved brown leather disc grip. Complete with an M8 scabbard mfg. by BM Co. CONDITION: blade shows scattered areas of age related staining and mild pitting overall. Guard and pommel exhibit flaking to their black enamel type finish. Leather handle shows some scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as some separation to the bottom layer of one of the discs. Scabbard shows age related discoloration, with the steel throat retaining a gray patina. 3) U.S. Model 1918 trench fighting knife. Right side of the brass knuckle duster handle is marked "U.S. 1918/ LF & C-1918". Bottom tip of the blade has broken, with the blade now being loose. Nut on pommel is present. CONDITION: blade is good, showing wear and thinning, as well as scattered spots of light surface level pitting and age related discoloration overall. Grip retains a dark patina, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. 4) Sealed surplus U.S. M6 bayonet knife mfg. by Columbus Milpar & Mfg. Co. Packaging is marked "1005-722-3097-B008/ BAYONET KNIFE - M6/ 1 EACH/ DA-11-199-ORD-601/ COLUMBUS MILPAR & MFG. CO./ MFG./CONTR./ COLUMBUS, OHIO/ A-1C- /61" above an ink stamped "ARP 1962". CONDITION: excellent, as sealed in original packaging. 5) U.S. Model 1892 Krag M1898 bayonet, mfg. in 1898. Left side of the ricasso is marked "1898", with "US" marked on the right. Blade, guard, and pommel are polished in-the-white. 2-piece smooth wood grip scales. Complete with blued steel scabbard. CONDITION: good, with the blade exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild dark pitting. Guard and pommel exhibit light age related discoloration. Grips show a few marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Scabbard retains a mostly gray patina, with scattered spots of pitting and age related discoloration. 6) Model 1892 Krag M1898 bayonet mfg. in 1902. Left side of the ricasso is marked "1902", with "US" marked on the right. Blade, guard, and pommel are in-the-white. Blade has been re-polished at one time. Wood grip scales and rivets are absent. CONDITION: blade presents nicely, as re-polished, exhibiting some light and soft pitting, as well as some scattered spots of age related discoloration. Guard and pommel exhibit areas of pitting, as well as spots of age related discoloration. 7) 2 U.S. M8A1 scabbards. 1 remains in its original "677" dated plastic packaging, with the other exhibiting a reapplied green painted finish. CONDITION: 1 as new, as still sealed. Opened scabbard exhibits some flaking to its reapplied green painted finish, with the markings at the throat being mostly illegible. 8) 1 U.S. WWII Legitimus machete mfg. by Collins & Co. in 1944. Left side of the blade is marked "US/ Collins & Co. logo)/ LEGITIMUS/ COLLINS&CO/ 1944". Complete with green canvas scabbard. CONDITION: blade exhibits a dark gray patina, with pitting present overall. Handle shows some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Scabbard shows some wear and age related discoloration. 9) U.S. Model 1905 bayonet mfg. by Springfield Armory in 1917. Left side of the ricasso is marked "SA/ (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB)/ 1917", with "US/ 721947" marked on the right. Blade exhibits a blue finish. 2-piece smooth wood grip scales. CONDITION: blade retains good amounts of its blue finish, exhibiting areas of dark pitting and oxidation overall. Guard and pommel exhibit a gray patina, with scattered areas of dark pitting and oxidation. Grips show scattered marks, impressions, and chips primarily on the rear of the panels. 10) German WWII pattern gravity knife mfg. by Paul Weyersberg & Co. Left side of blade is marked with Paul Weyersberg's logo above "ROSTFREI". Spike is marked with a Luftwaffe acceptance proof at the base. Stainless steel construction, with 2-piece smooth wood grip scales. CONDITION: very good, with some superficial handling marks overall. Blade shows some striations and a few spots of light pitting. Bolster shows a ding on one side. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. 11) Kukri knife set with scabbard. Set consists of a kukri, knife, and diminutive kukri. Complete with brown leather scabbard. CONDITION: knives retain a gray patina, with varying degrees of oxidation and pitting. Small kukri blade is broken at the tip. Wood handles are good overall. Leather scabbard exhibits drying and age related crazing, with some splitting at the edges. 12) Decorative North African / Eastern pattern throwing blade. Left side exhibits decorative engraving, with the right side remaining blank. Cloth wrapped handle. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a dark brown / gray patina, with scattered areas of surface oxidation and pitting. (02-23947-3/MLW). $400-800.
