This lot consists of the following S&W No. 1 Revolvers both in Cal. 22 Short: 1) S# 38354. Bbl. 3 3/16". Replacement brass blade front sight. 3rd Issue No. 1 revolver with birds head grips. 7-shot cyl. Blued finish. Smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: grips show large patches of flaking varnish with dings & handling marks. Bottom of grip frame shows notable dings & pitting. Metal otherwise retains 30% blue with overall fading to gray, scattered dings, oxidation & pitting. Cyl. appears to be out of time & may need attention to fix. Pitted worn bore with worn rifling. (01-26349/MJC). 2) S# 22433. Bbl. 3 3/16". Round blade front sight. 3rd Issue No. 1 revolver with birds head grips. Renickeled finish. Smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: grips have added varnish with scattered flaking, dings & handling marks. Metal shows scattered varnish overrun, flaking, oxidation, bubbling & dings. Action appears to function properly when hand cycled. Pitted bore. (01-26350/MJC). BOTH ANTIQUE. $300-500 for pair.
