Lot of Two (2) WWII Era Fighting Knives: 1.) U.S. Navy Mark 2 knife, by Camillus, marked on ricasso ''Camillus, N.Y.'', the reverse marked ''U.S.N./MARK2''; 6-7/8'' blade, 11-7/8'' overall, rectangle tang, pinned pommel; handle has been very nicely wrapped in small rope with decorative braid at both the guard and pommel, with unmarked nine-staple leather sheath. 2.) USMC fighting knife, by KA-BAR, ricasso marked ''USMC'' and reverse marked ''KA-BAR/OLEAN, N.Y.'', 7'' parkerized blade, 12-1/4'' overall, five-groove stacked leather washer handle, thick peened pommel, with unmarked nine-staple leather sheath. Condition of the Camillus is good overall. Blade retains approx. 65% blue with moderate amounts of scattered pitting. Wrapping of the handle remains tight. The KA-BAR is very good overall with normal thinning and wear to the parkerized finish; stacked leather washers with marks from handling. Est.: $200-$300/lot.
