Lot Includes two girths, 19.25" and 22" in length. These woolen girths continued in use after the civil war until they were replaced by the model 1872 girth. Two basic color variations are known, a medium blue and a darker deep blue. Of these two color variations, the medium blue seems to be the less common of the two.  All the leather billets, keepers, the iron buckles and "D" ring are present and intact and the girth billet loop is sewn across the center of the girth. **All original full length with all the components present and intact. The leather has some light cracking and chipping but is still pliable and not overly brittle. The wool has some light fraying in spots but overall these girths are in excellent condition*** $600-$800
