Lot of Two Movie Prop Mexican Army Shakos
These Shako's were most likely used in the 1960 John Wayne movie the Alamo as these came form the estate of Joe Musso, who worked on the film, and was a personnel friend of John Wayne, but we have no documentation to say for sure. There is one Infantry, and one artillery shako. The shako's have the green, red and white felt on the top with a matching pompom. Right below the pompom is a circular cockade and below that is the Shako Plate. The front of the infantry Shako has a black stripe around the top edge of the Shako and also around the bottom edge. The artillery has gold trim. Leather chinstraps. Both in very good condition.
