Lot of Two Movie Prop Mexican Army Shakos
These Shako's were most likely used in the 1960 John Wayne movie the Alamo as these came form the estate of Joe Musso, who worked on the film, and was a personnel friend of John Wayne, but we have no documentation to say for sure. There is one musician, and one infantry officer shako. The musician shako has the green, red and white felt on the top with a matching pompom. Right below the pompom is a circular cockade and below that is the Shako Plate of a harp. The front of the infantry Shako has a gold stripe around the top edge of the Shako and brass scaled chin strap. green, white, and red pompom. brass plate with the eagle & snake, yellow cords. Both in very good condition.
