MODEL 1900 SWISS ARMY LUGER, SN 426, ORIGINAL
MILITARY HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm Luger. S# 426. This is a beautiful example of a very early Swiss Army Luger Model 1900, with relieved frame, update magazine and correctly dated military holster. As per all the Swiss M1900 Lugers, major parts are rust blued with strawed or fire blued small parts. The chamber area is roll marked with the Swiss Cross in Sunburst and the DWM monogram is on the toggle. Desirable, early features include the dished toggles with toggle lock, flat breech bolt, with the small spring extractor, fast taper 4.75" barrel and first pattern safety lever with the large checkered head. The relieved frame has the flat recoil springs, narrow trigger and narrow grip safety. The majority of components: barrel, barrel extension, rear of the frame and top of the toggle assembly all have small Swiss Army Cross inspector proofs. Fitted with checkered walnut grips. Disassembly shows all matching numbers except the sideplate that is numbered "18". MAGS: original military whose wood base has a metallic disc on each side. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original leather holster with shoulder strap, stamped on the back side with the Swiss inspection proof of a boxed Swiss Cross/B proof and maker"s mark "G. LEHMANN/SATTLER/BERN 03". The holster is in fine condition with a light brown color overall with intact stitching showing general light scuffing overall with wear on top of the flap. It has clear distinct markings on the back. The lower toe shows some wrinkling of the leather with a heavier scuff mark on the back side. CONDITION: near excellent with 98% plus of the original blue finish overall with only a hint of edge and high spot wear overall with blue loss on the very front edge of the frame rails, edge of the sideplate and the lower front grip strap. The smaller parts retain comparable straw color with the majority of the loss on the face of the trigger. Discreetly import marked using a fine laser etching method in an unobtrusive area. The grips are near excellent with nice, sharp distinct checkering overall, a small pressure dent on the right side behind the magazine release button. It has a near excellent bore and hand cycles and dry fires correctly. A high condition, early Swiss Army M1900 with correctly dated military holster. PROVENANCE: From the esteemed collection of Paul Regnier, Switzerland. (20-1426/LA). CURIO. $5,500-7,500.
