Marble's Gun Sights Complete Sales Store Display with Articulating Arm for Demonstration
This vintage sight display was manufactured circa 1930's. Made of tin, chrome plated rail & bar and articulating arm stamped "LOANED BY / MARBLE ARMS & MFG CO / GLADSTONE, MICH, U.S.A. / DO NOT REMOVE SAMPLE SIGHTS". The swing-out arm demonstrates Marbles Automatic Flexible Joint tang peep sight. Lower tubular bar has top mounted adjustable leaf & folding leaf rear sights. Front of bar displays models 1, 2, 8, 5, 7 and 10 rear peep sight disks. Flat top bar displays the following; Standard, Sheard, Improved, Duplex, Reversible & V-M dovetail sights, and Sheard & 894 pistol post sights as well as two ivory front & mid shotgun beads. Tin backing has yellowing white, green & brown test background panels to demonstrate the principle of the peep sight. Black advertising panel gives instructions in gold tone raised lettering; "MARBLE'S GUN SIGHTS / WILL IMPROVE YOUR SHOOTING / SELECT YOUR COLOR AND SIZE OF BEAD / TEST AGAINST BACKGROUND OF WHITE / GREEN AND BROWN / DEMONSTRATE THE PRINCIPLE OF THE PEEP SIGHT.
CONDITION
This display does show some age and wear, discoloring in the color panels, and oxidation spots in the chrome. Appears to be complete and would make a great complete display piece!
