Antique lever action repeating rifle chambered in .25-20 Winchester, manufactured circa 1894. Features a blued finish, 28" octagonal barrel, full-length magazine tube, dovetailed German silver blade front sight, simplistic 'v' notched rear sight fashioned from a sporting sight leaf, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, smooth walnut forend and straight grip shoulder stock with crescent metal buttplate. Top of receiver stamped "Marlin Safety", tang marked "Model 1894", two-line barrel markings with address, & the early three patent, lower barrel marked with caliber. Bore is dark, frosted in the groves, good rifling, action is smooth/crisp, wood is very good/sound, the finish has turned a mixture of dull blue, brown patina with edge wear, some minor scratches/dents. Markings are good/readable.
