Fluted and dyed bone grip. Enamel plaque of Mexican eagle in hilt shows damage also 1 plaque is missing. The blade is almost fine. The scabbard shows crude repair but retains fancy mountings (Can be restored by finding another scabbard and transferring mounts. Cardenas was a general in the Mexican Revolution and was President of Mexico 1934-40, He is known for the creation of Mexico’s oil industry.
