Generally, outfitters do not allow back to back donation hunts, so even if the description is not explicit, do not buy more than one hunt per country! If you want to string together two or more hunts, you must gain the approval of all outfitters ahead of bidding.
There is an implicit stipulation that any donation is for new customers only. Check with your outfitter!
Asian Mountain Outfitters offers a unique and adventurous mountain hunting experience for Mid-Asian Ibex in either Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan. This is not a North American Hunt as hunters need to be prepared for cultural/language differences, long range and sometimes quick shooting (proficient at 500+ yards). The climates are similar to the high & dry areas of CO, NM and NV.
All hunting licenses and fees are included in the hunt. The hunter is responsible for the following costs: flight to and from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan or Dushanbe, Tajikistan via Turkish Air/Istanbul, airport VIP service, meals and lodging while in Bishkek (usually 2-3 nights), extra baggage fees for taking home skin/skull or shipping of trophies home and staff tips (clients will be provided with tip suggestions).
Hunters have the option of shooting a second Ibex (USD 5,000), Roe Buck (Kyrgyz) or Wild Boar (Tajik) on a trophy fee basis. This Ibex hunt includes 5-7 hunting days, depending on the area; it requires a hunter to be relatively fit and experienced in mountain hunting. Typical Ibex size ranges from 38 - 47”. An average Ibex is about 42 - 43”. Ibex under 38” and over 47” are rare. Ibex over 47”is possible in some areas, for very fit and tough hunters willing to spike out in often harsh conditions.
We hunt many areas for Ibex; some areas have bigger Ibex than others, and some have easier hunting/access with nice camps; our goal is to match the client/area to better suit their abilities and goals. If a hunter prefers to do a non-horseback hunt (using pack donkeys and foot/jeep hunting), this hunt can be done in Tajikistan. The drive to the hunt camps ranges from 3 to 14 hours.
The most common hunt dates are Sept. and Oct., but the season runs from August 15th thru Dec. 1st in Kyrgyzstan and Sept. 1st through Feb. 28th in Tajikistan. Hunters can sometimes take the trophy(s) home in checked luggage if skins are dried enough, but many of our hunters decide to have them shipped via DHL, Fed Ex or Turkish Air Freight and cleared, using a Wildlife import broker.
The hunt is to be taken during the 2019 season, but arrangements can be made to postpone hunt until 2020 (with approval from Asian Mountain Outfitters; and if Govt. fees increase, hunters pay this increase). Asian Mountain Outfitters works with partners in several different hunting areas: the Naryn and Issyk-Kul Regions of Kyrgyzstan and two different regions of Tajik. Our Manager/interpreter/partners will meet clients at the airport and assist in all aspects of the hunts. The best local guides typically do not speak English but are skilled hunters and horsemen.
If it is your first trip to Central Asia, we can arrange a Western/English speaking guide to accompany you (price is a minimum of USD 5,000 plus all their travel and trip expenses). Hunters who elect to hunt with just the local guides need to be able to assist in trophy judging and oversee skin preparations. The best attitude is to go prepared as if it is a self-guided hunt, combined with local guides.
This hunt can be upgraded to a Hume Argali in Kyrgyzstan or a Marco Polo in Tajikistan. Bryan Martin, the founder of Asian Mountain Outfitters, has conducted seminars at various conventions about equipment, shooting and what should be expected on such hunts. He has outfitted in Canada since 1999 and in Central Asia since 2002 and has personally been on many successful Marco Polo/Ibex hunts, spending over three months each year in Central Asia, to ensure that AMO is very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the hunts.
Make sure to check out the Asian Mountain Outfitters website www.asianmountainoutfitters.com for additional information on this hunt and many others they offer in Tajikistan, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Nepal, Pakistan, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Canada and Romania. You can contact Bryan at +1-250-317-5525 or through email at bryankmartin@gmail.com for more information.
We want to thank Bryan Martin of Asian Mountain Outfitters for this incredible donation.

A majority of outfitters do not allow stringing of donation hunts (purchase of multiple hunts in a single country), even if it is not explicitly stated in the hunt description, so please don't buy more than one hunt per country. If you want to string together two or more donated hunts, be sure to gain the approval of ALL the outfitters ahead of bidding, to ensure they will honour your purchases. Calgary SCI will not be held liable for any losses as a result of stringing.
In general, donations are to both raise money for SCI, and secondly to attract new customers to outfitters. Most outfitters do not accept repeated purchases by the same bidder.

1. Although CCSCI encourages donors to list all extra and ancillary expenses not included in the donated hunt, such as travel, service and other items, the list of expenses in auction item descriptions should not be considered exhaustive or definitive, and CCSCI will not be held responsible for their completeness or accuracy. The amounts of additional expenses listed in auction item descriptions are approximations and are subject to change without notice. Bidders should contact relevant donors before bidding for additional and updated information about expenses one can expect to incur in taking a hunt or trip or in using a service or item.

No statement in the CCSCI publications, catalogues or brochures or in the bill of sale or invoice or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty, representation or assumption of liability by CCSCI. Any written warranties concerning the items purchased are those solely and expressly supplied by the manufacturer or donor of that item or hunt. Although third parties sometimes provide appraisals with items such as jewelry, CCSCI does not verify or warrant their accuracy or origin. Appraisals are the result of subjective valuations, and estimates of value and quality can vary markedly between competent and reliable appraisers. The provision of an appraisal does not represent a guarantee of value. Furthermore, any written or visual presentation done or offered by third parties does not necessarily reflect the opinion or attitude of CCSCI.
3. After bidding for an item concludes and the auctioneer designates a winning bidder, the designated winner (buyer) must immediately agree to a Buyer's Agreement. For buyers at the auction location, the buyer must sign the Buyer's Agreement and one copy will be given to the buyer. For online buyers, when the buyer clicks "I accept" after reading the Buyer's Agreement, or pays for the item, the buyer is deemed to agree to the Buyer's Agreement. All signatures on Buyer's Agreements, and "I accept" or payment for online purchases, are legal, binding and final. CCSCI will not recognize changes, additions or deletions to any auction description agreed to by the buyer and donor unless such changes are noted on the Buyer's Agreement and signed by the buyer and an authorized representative of the donor, or in the case of online buyers, noted in an electronic writing exchanged between the buyer and an authorized representative of the donor.
