Missouri Turkey & South African Safari Combo
Mike and Karen Helbing, owners of the Double Deuce Ranch in Missouri and owners of the Wild Wildebeest Lodge in South Africa, are donating an 8-day Combo Hunt: 3-day Missouri Turkey Hunt with a 5-day South African Safari. The total donation is valued up to $16,000. Note that both hunts must be taken. The Missouri Turkey hunt includes 3 nights/3days of lodging, meals, and all beverages for 2 hunters. The hunt is for 1 Eastern turkey per hunter. Also included in the donation is fishing and morel mushroom hunting. Additional hunters are welcome at a cost of $1750 per hunter. Observers are welcome at $100 per day. Not included in the donation is the hunting license (approximately $190), and gratuities. Hunt may be taken spring of 2018 or 2019. This is a semi-guided hunt. The South African Hunting Safari is for 2 or 4 hunters (2x1). Included are 5 days of daily rates (lodging, meals, and all beverages), and $1000 toward trophy fees (to be shared). Of the 5 days, 1 day will include an afternoon of bird hunting for dove, francolin, and guineafowl which will be cooked over a hot fire and served while in camp. If upgraded to 10 hunting days, an additional $2000 toward trophy fees will also be included. Not included in the donation is airfare to/from Johannesburg, day of arrival and day of departure, conservation fees, VAT (value added tax), dip and pack if taxidermy is done in the U.S., and gratuities. Hunt may be taken from March through October 2018 or 2019. With this donation, Woods & Water Taxidermy in Conroe, Texas is offering up to a $500 credit per hunter toward taxidermy work done by their company (applied as 15% on shoulder mounts/rugs and 10% on European mounts – excludes back hides). Shipping on all items will be the responsibility of the buyer.
