.50-70 caliber, 32.5 barrel length, NSN. Marked US 1870 on top of breech block, round barrel, blade front sight with model 1870 rifle rear sight, US Springfield lockplate dated 1863 with eagle motif, breech. Stock showing original cartouche with carved WJJ & amp; EA on left side. Overall fine condition with minor blemishes throughout. Bore in good condition with crisp rifling. A very good model 1870 rifle.
