Two lucky kids will have the opportunity to hunt waterfowl at the Canvasback Gun Club, in the Stillwater Marsh outside Fallon, NV. The Canvasback Club has been around for almost 100 years. The marsh habitat here is generally recognized as the finest private wetlands in the state and the duck hunting can be nothing short of spectacular.
Each young hunter may bring an adult family member to enjoy the weekend with. Overnight accommodations (Friday and Saturday), all meals and a day of hunting at the Canvasback Club will be provided by your hosts Katie and Dave Stanley.
Both youngsters will receive a Waterfowler’s Package that includes:
• 20 Gauge Benelli M-2 semi-automatic shotgun • Hi Viz site • Case of 20 gauge Federal Black Cloud ammunition • Oakley glasses • Elk Ridge knife • Jargon Duck call • Banded Brand camo jacket and hat
Participants must be less than 18 years old on the date of the hunt. Those 12 years old and older must have a current NV hunting license and federal duck stamp if required. There is no minimum age to hunt waterfowl in Nevada. The date for the late NV Youth Hunt in the 2019-2020 Waterfowl Season is Saturday, February 8, 2020. This is the only Youth Hunt date available and it must be used in 2020.
